- One of the fastest growing segments of the homeless population is families with children.

- At least 1.35 million children are homeless during the year with 200,000 homeless on any given day.

- 200,000 veterans are currently homeless and 400,000 will experience homelessness during the year.

These are not just statistics. They represent real people, people in need. And homelessness is just the tip of the iceberg. This does not include the countless numbers of people who will need assistance because of trouble paying heating bills, job loss, or loss because of fire or natural disasters.
